We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented research analyst to assist in conducting market research for A+ Fund’s strategic allocation. The research analyst’s responsibilities include researching, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, and using the data to guide the fund’s decision-making process.
Research Analyst Responsibilities
- Support the investment process by identifying compelling equity/credit investment strategies globally.
- Research and due diligence duties include conducting strategy and market analysis to assess the opportunity set, participating in onsite meetings to evaluate sources of return and risk, analyzing portfolio fit, and thoroughly documenting results and supporting conclusions.
- Analyze portfolio and strategy risk information to establish investment thesis.
- Prepare investment proposals and other materials required by the Investment Committee.
- Collaborate with other functional areas in coordinating the various operational aspects of structuring and implementing investments.
- Continually assess the market environment and its impact on the risk reward of strategies.
- Maintain active views on the fund investments and make portfolio recommendations.
- Maintain comprehensive manager universes to facilitate peer group analysis and strategy research.
- Participate in extensive strategy and manager reviews and prepare associated presentations for the Investment Committee.
Research Analyst Requirements
- A bachelor’s in economics, finance, statistics at top 4 local universities or overseas.
- At least 2 years of work experience at a top-tier securities firm, investment firm, Big 4 accounting firm, or strategy consulting firm. Candidates from outside these firms must be in a finance-related role.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and data modeling skills.
- The ability to manipulate large, complex data sets into manageable, understandable reports.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team-working skills.
- Familiarity with data modeling software and Excel software.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
